Start in a neutral seated position and move forward to the front of the chair keeping your back straight.
Place your sitting bones at the front of the chair.
Extend both legs out, keeping control by placing your hands beside you.
To put on your left sock on, cross your left ankle on top of your right.
Slowly drag your left ankle along your shin all the way to just above your kneecap.
Now bend the right knee, keeping your back straight.
You can now reach your foot without having to bend your spine.
To come back from this position, place your hands besides you for balance.
Straighten the right leg, then slide the left ankle along your shin, unfold your legs, bend your knees, and sit yourself back into the chair.
