Advice - Reaching down from standing ('ADL' Reaching to floor, back protected, beside chair)
Stand in a neutral position. Lean onto the back of a chair or a table.
Open your legs taking a small stride, and lower yourself down by bending your knees whilst keeping your gaze forwards.
Make sure you keep at least one foot completely flat on the floor as you pick the object up.
Maintain a straight back throughout the exercise.
Come back up to the starting position by pushing strongly through your legs.
