Bilateral calf stretch, toes dorsiflexed (Gastrocnemius stretch, toes on towel roll (bilateral), standing)

Stand up straight facing a sturdy object such as a worktop or table.
Place a rolled-up towel on the floor and step the balls of each foot onto the towel.
Keeping your heels down and your knees straight, lean your whole body forward including your hips.
Use your hands on the worktop to support you.
You should feel a stretch down both calves, just below your knees.
Hold this position.
Using the strength of your arms, push yourself back to the upright position to relax this exercise before repeating, if required.
