Calf raise with quad activation

Start by standing with the balls of your feet on the edge of a step (or a thick book). An exercise band is placed behind one knee and attached securely in front with tension on the band.

Rise onto your toes. Do not bend the knees. Feel the front thigh muscles working. Lower your heels back onto the floor.
