Hip flexor stretch - dynamic (Iliopsoas)

Lie on your back and bend both hips and knees so your feet are on the surface.
Bring one knee toward your chest and use your hand to hold the hip in this position.
You can put your other hand on the front and side of your pelvis to help prevent any movement.
Contract your abdominal muscles by exhaling and flattening your abdomen.
Slide your other leg out straight.
Stop when you feel your pelvis tilt forward.
Hold as prescribed.
Slide the leg back up and repeat.
If advised, you can place a pillow under the knee of the leg you are moving.
