Isometric gastrocnemius contraction in standing (Gastrocnemius strengthening isometric, overhead counter pressure, standing)
Stand up straight under a stable overhead platform, such as a doorway.
Push upwards against the platform with your hands.
Keeping your knees straight, simultaneously push your toes into the floor as if trying to lift your heels.
Counterbalance the upward force from your feet the downward pressure of your hands
Hold this position.
