Isometric soleus contraction in sitting (Soleus strengthening isometric, weight on lap, sitting)
Sit upright in a chair with your feet directly below your knees.
Place a weight, such as a suitcase on your lap.
Push your toes into the floor as if trying to lift your heels.
The weight should be heavy enough that you cannot lift your heels.
Hold this position.
