Sit with your back to your assistant in a slightly slouched posture.
This technique will provide your lower back with support.
Your assistant will need to measure and cut two pieces of kinesiology tape from your bottom rib to the top of your pelvis alongside your spine.
Trim off the all the corners of the kinesiology tape to form curved edges.
Fold the piece of kinesiology tape approximately one inch or 2.5cm from the end and then rip the backing paper along the crease as demonstrated.
Apply the end of the kinesiology tape under no tension starting alongside the spine under the bottom rib.
Next, apply the desired amount of stretch to the kinesiology tape in the direction of your pelvis running parallel to your spine, fixating the tape as you go.
Repeat to the other side.
Rub the kinesiology tape to ensure a good adhesion is achieved.
