Lie on your back with your head on a pillow and knees bent.
Have an exercise band placed behind your back horizontally below your shoulder blades.
Holding both ends of exercise band, float both arms up towards the ceiling.
Engage your shoulder blades and make sure you feel some gentle resistance of the band.
Reach up towards the ceiling against the resistance of the band and feel your shoulder blades separate.
Gently draw your shoulder blades back together slowly against the resistance of the band.
