Sit up straight and take some cream on the opposite hand to the shoulder you are about to work.
Bring your hand on your affected side across to rest on the opposite shoulder, and relax your arm down in this position.
Take the cream and gently rub it in circles around the tissues in and below your arm pit.
After a couple of minutes when the tissues are warmed, place your fingertips into the tissues around your side and towards your shoulder blade, until you feel a tender spot.
You may need to move some of the more superficial tissues aside to press more deeply.
Feel up into the back part of your arm pit also.
When you feel a tight, tender spot, hold the pressure on this area until you feel it release.
