Sit upright on a stable chair or wheelchair with your back supported and a table in front of you.
Ensure both feet are placed flat.
Support your forearm on the table in a comfortable position with your palm facing down.
Ask your helper to ensure your wrist is as straight as possible and your fingers and palm are in contact with the surface.
Ask them to increase the contact by gently elongating each finger from the knuckle to the tip.
Cover the hand with a towel.
Underneath the towel, your helper should slowly trace the outline of your affected hand with their finger, applying gentle pressure.
Focus on the length and shape of each digit as you partner’s finger moves along it.
