Side Lying Hip Abduction with Ankle weights

Lie on your side with your upper body rotated forwards. Bend your lower leg. Secure an ankle weight to your top leg and keep it straight with a straight hip.

Lift your straight leg off the support in the direction upwards/backwards. Hold, then in a controlled manner return to the starting position.
