Stepdowns ("Step ups" Hip/knee extension strengthening, onto a box - focus how to)

Stand on a box.
Kick one leg back, bend your opposite knee and reach forward with your upper body.
Lower yourself by hinging at the hips and bending the knee of the fixed leg.
Descend until your back foot touches the ground.
Stand erect maintaining the fixed foot on the box.
Bend over and reach for the thigh of your planted leg with your chest.
Allow the body to rotate over your planted foot and allow your back leg to start rising of the ground.
Continue to drive your foot into the box while reaching father forward with your upper body in order to maintain a balanced position.
Continue to push and maintain balance until you reach the starting position.
Complete the set on one side before repeating with the opposite leg.
