Supine to Prone Assisting from Shoulder and Leg

Lie your baby on their back.
With one hand, hold the child’s shoulder and their hip, thigh or calf with the other.
You can encourage the child to roll onto their front by placing yourself or a toy to the side where they are about to roll.
To get to their side, assist the child in turning their head and upper body and bringing one leg over the other.
To get onto their front, encourage the child to lift their head over the shoulder.
Help the child with the movement only as much as is needed.
