TMJ isometric protrusion (protraction) 2 ("TMJ" Temporomandibular joint protrusion strengthening isometric, with thumb, sitting)

Sit upright with your feet flat on the floor in front of a table or desk.
Place your elbow on a flat surface, your fist on your chest and your thumb on your chin.
Push your lower jaw forwards, tilting your head forward with a slightly open mouth.
Resist the movement with your thumb.
Hold this pressure for the indicated amount of time.
