Sit in your wheelchair with your feet resting on the footrests, and ensure the brakes are applied.
When ready, use your arms to help support you in leaning forwards and rest your upper body against your thighs.
Allow your arms to rest on either side of your wheels holding a weight in each hand.
Next, pull your shoulder blades together and lift your elbows towards the ceiling keeping them bent.
This is your start position.
Then straighten your elbows against the resistance of the weight.
Pause briefly before returning to the start position, and repeat.
