Stand up straight with a clear area ahead of you.
Think about which leg you will first move to start walking.
In this example, we will start with the right leg.
Lift your right leg forwards and place your heel down on the ground a little ahead of your other leg.
Tense the thigh and buttock muscles of your right leg, and then move your weight forwards onto this leg.
As you transfer your weight onto this leg, allow your left leg to relax and bend at the knee.
The heel of your left leg should start to peel off the floor.
Continue to peel your left leg up off the floor and bring it through, past your right leg.
